Project Manager

Role Description:

The Project Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Involvement with designers during planning stages of design build projects.
  • Ordering of material. Weekly production review and ensuring proper time allocation to work items.
  • Development, submitting and tracking of equipment/material shop drawings.
  • Prepare detailed take-offs from engineered plans.
  • Sending out detailed lighting, gear, and misc. take-offs to electrical vendors for quote.
  • Prepare change order estimates to submit to Owner or Prime Contractor.
  • Creating and maintaining the project schedule.
  • Submitting Requests for Information to designers and owner.
  • Quantity and material tracking for billing.
  • Submitting and tracking claims for delay and extra work.
  • Ensuring TMS safety policies and protocols are followed at all times.
  • Manage subcontractors
  • Develop revenue projections
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 5 years’ minimum experience is required
  • Current Valid Driver’s License
  • Minimum High School Graduate, GED, or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Construction or Engineering) is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and problem solving skills
  • Must work well with all other employees, vendors, general contractors etc.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft office, Excel, etc.
  • Must be able to accurately review and detail plan take-off for material acquisitions
  • Effective planner and well organized
  • Punctuality and a winning attitude.
  • Bluebeam Revu Software is a plus, but not required.
  • Knowledge of electrical, ITS, and tolling systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing FDOT projects is preferred.
  • Experience with P6 Scheduling software is preferred.
  • Reading and understanding of contract documents, specifications, and plans.
