Directs traffic and pedestrians around or near a construction zone, accident or other road hazards, making sure that the safety of the construction workers and the general public are taken into account.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Directs traffic to protect the safety of the work crew
• Directs the actions of motoring and pedestrian traffic for their safety and the safety of the work crew
• Check hand signals used by crew to indicate work activities
• Assist in setup of traffic control zones in accordance with regulations and standards
• Adjust work zones as work progresses
• Check for variations in the worksite and adapt the worksite setup as required

Able to lift at least 50 pounds without assistance, move unassisted throughout a construction jobsite, which may include minor obstacles such as climbing ladders, operating heavy equipment. The role involves physical activity performing strenuous activities that are technical and production in nature.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations: ATTSA Certification, valid driver’s license
Other Skills and Abilities: Capable of standing and holding a STOP/SLOW sign for upto 8 hours in a day.
Other Qualifications: Prior experience in Traffic Control Services or Utility or Construction Industry preferred.
