Skilled Laborer

Role Description:

A skilled laborer has the knowledge and ability to complete technical installations in accordance with the contract plans and specifications.  A skilled laborer has demonstrated the ability to use all necessary tools required to complete these installations.  A skilled laborer has mastered all responsibilities and qualifications required of a general laborer and assists with training general laborers with the skills needed to advance.

Responsibilities:

• General Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
  • Installations of ITS devices such as cameras, MVDS, cabinets, cabinet equipment, etc.
  • Installation of electrical components and service wire
  • Sign installations
  • Installation of signalization components such as stop lights, cameras, cabinets, and pedestrian signals
  • Installation of light poles, camera poles, service poles
  • Locating existing utilities
  • Complete installations of underground electrical infrastructure
  • Checking earthwork and roadway grading to proposed layout
  • Setup and takedown of MOT closures
• Following all company safety protocols and procedures.
• Abide by company cell phone use policy at all times while working.
• Display working knowledge of New Employee Tool List (Laborer). Employee is expected to care for and maintain tools as needed to preserve a complete tool-set at all times.
• Employee shall conduct themself in a positive and respectful manner when interacting with the client, the public, and within the company.
• Includes all responsibilities of the general laborer position.
• Other Duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Current valid Drivers License (Required).
• MOT Certification
• Ability to work as part of a team to complete a given task.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new tasks.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs – Check handbook?
• Ability to work outdoors in varied climates.
• Mastered all aspects of general labor position
