Supervised lab employees. Created schedules, managed overtime, ensured coverage for productivity requirements, maintain vacation schedules and verified completion of data. I conducted testing, verified testing methods, audited testing processes and procedures, and helped upskill junior technicians. Product testing ranged from brightness, viscosity, viscose, solubilities and minerals, dirts, fiberization and air perm. For several years I was on a safety committee for the plant.

I was responsible for maintaining safety, quality and production standards. I learned how to safely operate various finishing or converting equipment including wrapping equipment, conveyors, scales and small cranes. I was also qualified to safely operate lift trucks, such as fork trucks, pad trucks and clamp trucks. I was responsible for handling and loading the final products into vessels. I followed loading instructions and patterns to ensure safe and efficient transport. For several years I was an ERT (Emergency Response Team).
