Construction Training Academy
FutureMakers Coalition partnering with FDOT Statewide Workforce Development, Goodwill and Careersource Southwest FL would like to invite you to a Construction Training Academy designed to provide jobseekers with FDOT certifications and training focused on the road and bridge construction industry AT NO COST.
• Day 1: Participants receive FDOT certification and training + Mock interviews and resumes review
• Day 2: A hiring event where job seekers interview directly with contractors for potential on-the-spot hiring.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Must be 18+ and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
2. Valid Driver’s License required
3. Reliable transportation is essential
4. Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
5. Must pass a physical and drug screening.
6. Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs..
7. Must be willing to disclose background information (FDOT compliance applies).
8. Preferred: Related trade/industry experience (e.g., OSHA, NCCER).
