Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Inspect, diagnose, and repair brake systems, engines, electrical components, steering systems, transmissions, and tires.
Perform routine maintenance on trucks, such as checking batteries and changing oil to ensure proper vehicle running.
Diagnose malfunctions in defective equipment by inspecting and testing using devises such as motor analyzers, handheld computers, and chassis charts.
Test drive vehicles to ensure they are running properly and to find issues to determine what the solution will be.
Replace parts, valves, bearings, and gears as needed and repair vehicle cooling and heating systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Knowledge of trucks and heavy equipment is required.
Must be able to lift heavy equipment and parts regularly
Must be comfortable with working in awkward positions or cramped spaces
Willingness and ability to learn
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
12+ months mechanical experience
Pre-Screen
Upon offer, employees may be required to subject and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background and/or MVR check.
License & Certifications:
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) class “A” preferred.
Valid driver’s license required.
Travel Requirements:
Potential travel required for temporary backup needs at other office locations.
