Laborer Pipe Layer

Job Description

Perform tasks involving physical labor at highway construction projects. Lay pipe for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains. Perform any combination of the following tasks:grade trenches or culverts, position pipe, or seal joints. May operate a variety of hand and power tools. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set bracesto support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, clean up rubble and debris and remove waste materials. May assist other workers. Install sanitary and storm water sewer structures and pipe systems. Cut pipes to required lengths. Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction. Align and position pipes to prepare them for welding or sealing. Other general laborer and construction related duties as required.
