Job Description
We are seeking qualified applicants with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in servicing trucks and heavy equipment, from basic maintenance and minor repairs to full equipment service. Duties
Conduct thorough inspections of diesel engines and related systems to identify issues.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, and brake inspections.
Repair or replace malfunctioning parts, including mechanical or electrical equipment.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs.
Adhere to safety protocols while performing heavy lifting and operating machinery.
Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in automotive repair techniques.
Self-motivated person required.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with a minimum of 3 years of experience or in a similar role preferred.
Strong knowledge vehicle maintenance and diesel engine mechanics.
Proficiency in using power tools and diagnostic equipment effectively.
Skilled in welding.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks as required.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Keeps detailed records of all vehicles serviced.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well in a team.
Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
A valid Florida’s CDL driver’s license is required; additional certifications related to diesel mechanics are a plus.
